The work is a postcard made by hand, assembling various etchings to collage; on the back was written address, sender and message, as in traditional postcards… the work in fact after being exposed was delivered to the recipient, that you have appreciated very much 🙂

Once upon a time there was the postcard or perhaps still there is the title of the collective and the call launched by the contemporary line art a couple of months ago.
On display in the space of the association, from 20 April to 20 May, there will be almost fifty postcards of the artists who have joined the project from all over Italy. Postcard whose term derives from the Latin charta, is nothing more than a cut of paper more or less thick and more or less rectangular in shape that if stamped is used for correspondence, to send a message. In this beginning of the century and millennium in which the digital message is king, a written message assumes, paradoxically, a new value. The artist was invited to reflect not only on the image to be created (an objective landscape or the soul, an object typical of a reality
geographical, a face, an animal), but also to think of a message to be written by hand for a specific recipient: whether it is a friend, a lost address, a house where he lived, an institution to which to deliver his thoughts. A method of sending a thought into disuse that in this period of social distance and increased use of social networks can be more enlightening, more alive. Definitely
a pleasant surprise to those who receive it. Living in the digital age where everything is super fast does not mean not recovering the idea of stopping, reflecting, expressing themselves and waiting for a message to arrive, or not.
The postcards on display, of various sizes, were handmade with different graphic techniques. The artists have already released their works, which on the back include the indication of the recipient and its personal message. Ready to be posted in mailboxes, after the exhibition period will be
sent by the Association The line to the address chosen by the artist.
